Early Christmas gift: CSM’s first onsite book fair gives shoppers reasons to rejoice

For the first time in two years—and its entire 32 year-history—Church Strengthening Ministry Inc. (CSMI) opened its doors to the public for a memorable onsite book fair as authorities downgraded the country’s pandemic alert status in view of a significant downtrend of cases.

Dubbed “READJOICE! An Early Christmas Treat for Everyone,” the book fair featured new titles, church resources, Bibles, Christmas gift ideas, and more at CSM’s trademark 100-peso sale price. First-time shoppers and CSM suki alike trooped to the CSM Building in Parañaque City to enjoy bargain discounts from November 29 to December 4, 2021.

“This is an important milestone for us because in 32 years, this is the first time we have done an independent book fair,” CEO Abner G. Lacson said. “It is even more important, given the current public situation, that we can finally open our doors so everyone can visit us, look for and browse through our titles, and buy for themselves or their loved ones so they can have something to rejoice about this season.”

As if the bargain prices, the wide range of Christmas gift ideas for family and loved ones, and the book fair atmosphere weren’t motivating enough, READJOICE also gave onsite shoppers the opportunity to win one of three mountain bikes—a growing necessity in the so-called new normal.

Laking pasasalamat po namin sa Diyos at sa CSM para sa bike na ito dahil malaking tulong po ito sa amin (We are truly grateful to God and to CSM that we were chosen to be given this bike; it means a lot to us),” Jessie Bendol, a pastor from Tanza, Cavite, said. The other winners are Marlene Tindoy from Las Piñas City and Ma. Katherine De Leon of Tondo, Manila.
